Paul J Graves

IMGP9003 copyPaul Graves has been in the printing industry for over 40 years. He first started running a press at 7 years old on his summer vacations at Henninger High School where his father taught printing. Standing on a stool, he quickly learned the ins and outs of printing…after all, he was learning from a second generation printer and the former owner of Graves Press in Elmira, NY. Paul continued to operate a press every summer vacation and once he graduated from Liverpool High School he went on to do it full time. Paul won multiple trade awards for high quality full color process work in the 30+ years he ran a press. In 2001, Paul started focusing on the service end of printing, and began working for a local service company in Syracuse, NY as a large press specialist. After seven years, many factory trainings, and several conversations with his daughter Lauren, Paul decided in 2008 to open PJ Graves and Daughter. They would offer service and consulting on all printing and bindery equipment at a lower cost than their competitors. Paul already had the reputation of being one of the most highly qualified service techs in the Upstate NY area and had a number of very appreciative customers who were more than happy to see him take this leap. He believed the customer’s needs came first, offering free technical support over the phone and often times working at night and on weekends to adapt to their schedule.
